Mood swings, energy shifts, and sleep changes that don't add up deserve a real look, not a guess.

Bipolar disorder is often misread as depression alone, especially if a depressive episode is what finally brings someone in. An accurate diagnosis — including a careful look at any history of elevated mood, high energy, or reduced need for sleep — changes what treatment actually works.

Whether you already have a diagnosis and need a new provider, or you're noticing patterns for the first time, an evaluation is the place to start.

One — what's included

Evaluation, medication, and monitoring — one provider throughout.

01

Full psychiatric evaluation.

A careful history of mood episodes, sleep, energy, and any prior diagnoses or medication trials — done in-house, not outsourced.

02

Medication management and monitoring.

Mood stabilizers, atypical antipsychotics, or other medications appropriate to your specific diagnosis, with regular follow-up to track response and side effects.

03

Coordination with therapy.

When counseling would help alongside medication, we refer to and coordinate with local therapists.

04

Telehealth follow-ups.

Once you're stabilized, routine medication checks can be done by video anywhere in Mississippi.

Two — privacy

Standard medical confidentiality — nothing shared without your consent.

Bipolar disorder evaluation and treatment records are protected under standard HIPAA confidentiality rules. Your records are not shared with employers, schools, or family without your written authorization.

Bipolar disorder questions

What patients ask about bipolar treatment

Yes — common situation. Depressive episodes often bring people in before anyone asks about past elevated-mood periods. A full evaluation looks at your complete history, not just today.

Consistent care makes the difference.

Start with a new client intake. Most new patients are seen within the same week.
